I • YoucanfirstenrollinaMedicareprescriptiondrugplanfromNovember15,2005 -May15,2006.Inmostcases,ifyoudon'tenrollduringthisperiodyournext chancetoenrollwillbeNovember15,2006-December31,2006,andyoumay havetopayahigherpremium.Youwon'thavetopayahigherpremiumifyouhad continuousdrugcoveragefromanothersourcethatwas,onaverage,atleastas goodasstandardMedicaredrugcoverage. • Ifyouarenotabletoenrollonyourown,yourauthorizedrepresentativecanenroll youinaplanthatmeetsyourneeds. • Somenursinghomesandotherlong-termcarefacilitieshavetheirownpharmacy. • Ifyoumoveintoanursinghomeorotherlong-termcarefacility,youcanswitch Medicareprescriptiondrugplansatthattimeifyouchooseto. • IfyouareinaskillednursinghomegettingMedicare-coveredskillednursingcare, yourprescriptionsgenerallywillbecoveredbyMedicarePartA. • Thereisextrahelpforpeoplewithlimitedincomeandresources,includingpeople whohaveMedicaidhealthcoverageandpeoplewhoreceiveSupplementalSecurity Income.
