A few ques- tion and answer textbooks are available, but most of them target a wider audi- ence comprised of medical students, those preparing for USMLE Steps 2 and 3, and residents. The authors hope to fill this void by publishing this book. This book contains approximately 1200 questions about psychiatry and neurology with detailed answers and explanations, making it one of the very few books in this format exclusively targeted at those preparing for Psychiatry Boards. However, the authors believe that it will also be helpful for psychiatry residents preparing for the PRITE and psychiatrists preparing for recertifica- tion exams, and to provide insight for practicing psychiatrists. This book is divided into 19 chapters, each focusing on a different topic, which makes preparation easier. Special emphasis has been placed on psycho- pharmacology and neurology, which are a significant part of the Boards. In addition to being a comprehensive learning tool, this book can be used to identify strengths and weaknesses and the candidate’s own command of the subject. This book should ideally be supplemented with readings from more detailed and established psychiatry textbooks. We wish to thank Charley Mitchell and Stacey Sebring of LWW for their unstinted support and the confidence they placed in us.
