SIAM Soc. 48: 145-148,2 000 Pseudostriga cambodiana Bonati (Scrophulariaceae),a G enus and Species New to Thailand Pseudostriga cambodiana Bonati is recorded for the first time in Thailand from Kaeng Srikhot Village,S irindhon District,U bon Ratchathani Province. A description and illustrations are provided. This species has been previously reported from Cambodia (YA MAZAKI,1 985). The genus 1S monotyp1c. Pseudostriga cambodiana Bonati,N o .tSys .t1: 338 (1909); F .lGen. Indoch. 4・445 (1927); FI. du Cambodge,L aos,V ietnam 21: 186,P late 24,5 -10 (p. 187,1 985) Annual herb,2 5-40c m high; stems cylindric,p ubescen .tLeaves simple,o pposite, sessile; leaf blade oblong-lanceolate or linear-lanceolate,5 -10 by 1-2 mm,a pex acute, base cuneate or obtuse,m argin entire,p ubescent on both sides. Flowers numerous in a terminal spike; 5-10 cm long; bracts opposite or subopposite,t raingular-lanceolate, acuminate,2 -3 mml ong; bracteoles 2,fi liform,2 -3 mml ong. Calyx spathiform,5 -9 by 1.5-2 mm. Corolla bilabiate,f unnelform,l ower part curved,9 -10 by 4--5m m,pi nk; upper lip bilobed,ov ate,l ower lip trilobed; lobes broadly ovate; lateral lobes spreading. Stamens 4,a II fertile,f ree,d idynamous,i nserted below the middle of the corolla tube,a nthers uniIoculate,wi th longitudinal1in,巴dorsifixed; upper part of filaments ciliate. Ovary oblong, glabrous; style filiform; stigma claviform,o btuse. Capsule oblong-lanceolate,a cute,6 x 2 mm,lo culicidally dehiscent by two valves,w ith persistent calyx. Seeds cuneate-oblong or cylindric,l ongitudinally striate. Figs. 1-4. Distribution.-Northem Cambodia and Northeast Thailand. Ecology.-In evergreen forest at the elevations of 260-430 m in Northeast Thailand. Vernacular.-Chot khieo (I'il州1J1) Uses.-The whole plant is used as hematinic by decoction in water.
