Preventive Maintenance Presenter: Wayne Marquis, Building Management Specialist, State of Alaska Department of Education & Early Development In order for school districts to apply for Dept of Education grant and debt projects, they must demonstrate a compliant preventive maintenance program. Preventive maintenance requirements include the ability to generate five management reports and show that the reports are being used effectively to extend the life of district facilities. Requirements also include demonstration that the district has an energy management program, custodial program, maintenance training program and renewal replacement schedules for all district buildings. The department also verifies the existence and use of a fixed asset inventory system by the districts. The presenter will provide information and answer questions about the submittals required for district compliance. RFP/Bid Process for School Bus Contracts Presenter: Steven Kalmes, Director of Transportation Services, Anchorage School District Learn the difference between a Bid and Request for Proposal and what needs to be included in the document.
