Mission Statement Scottish Rite is a fraternity of Master Masons whose Mission is to teach, to train and to encourage members to practice the important lessons of truth, of honour, and of virtue. It promotes belief in a Supreme Being and brotherly love amongst all people regardless of race, colour, or creed. It improves the individual character through the lessons taught in the degrees and through leadership training and relevant programs. It seeks to make a positive impact on the welfare of mankind through its charitable foundation. TERRY ALLAN MCLEAN, 33° Sovereign Grand Inspector-General Ill.Bro. McLean was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 15, 1948 and raised in the Etobicoke area. He attended elementary and high school there and graduated from York and Guelph Universities with a Degree in Economics. Employed with two companies Goodyear Canada and Kodak Canada Inc. for approximately 30 years, engaged in Industrial Engineering, Human Resources and Quality. He retired from Kodak Canada in April 2004. He is currently employed part time with Jobstart and serves as our Chief Operating Officer (Executive Secretary) in the Supreme Council Office located in Hamilton. In 1973 he married Bonnie Ruby Chalmers and has two children Douglas and Kevin. Today, Terry and Bonnie enjoy spending time at the cottage with their grandchildren Justin and Alexander. The family attends and supports the Morningside High Park Presbyterian Church. Terry's get-aways include a cottage in Havelock, rounds of golf, and various charitable endeavours. 8 In Craft Masonry, Terry was initiated, passed and raised within The Sunnylea Lodge #664 in Etobicoke in 1979. Terry became Worshipful Master in 1985. In 1990-91, Terry served as DDGM in Toronto District 2. In 1996, he received an appointment to the Board of General Purposes and is currently still serving as an elected member. In Grand Lodge, he has been an active member on several Committees...Communications, Friend-to-Friend, Brother-to-Brother, Membership Resources and Long-Range Planning. Terry chaired the committee for the 150th Anniversary Celebration of the Grand Lodge in 2005. Currently, Terry serves on the Grand Lodge Management Committee. Terry became a Scottish Rite Mason in 1988 in the Lodge of Perfection, Valley of Toronto, was Most Wise Sovereign, Rose Croix, Valley of Toronto in 2003, currently serves as Chairman of the Officer Nominating Committee, he is an Officer in the Valley of Barrie, Spry Consistory, a member of the Royal Arch Mason's Occident Chapter No.77, was the Grand Chapter’s 150th Chairman for 2008, Holy Trinity Conclave No.34...and a Rameses Shriner in the Tecumseh and Trent Valley Clubs. Terry was coroneted a 33° Honorary Inspector-General in Toronto, September 2005. In October 2008 he was inducted into the Royal Order of Scotland. At the 134th Annual Session of Supreme Council in Vancouver, British Columbia in September 2008, he was elected Sovereign Grand Inspector-General 33°, Active Member of Supreme Council. 9 SESSIONS 10
