Description:Western Uganda has a long history of primatological research. This volume presents a series of new, unpublished scientific accounts of a selection of the species in the region, each chapter focusing on one or more particular characteristics of the species concerned. The book covers aspects of ecology, behavior, genetics, taxonomy, 'cultural' patterns, hunting by non-human primates, physiology, dietary chemistry, and ecotourism, in several major clades of primates from galagos and pottos, through cercopithecoids, to hominoids.
