Contributors’ biographies David Anderson-Ford Senior Lecturer at Brunel University, specialising in Healthcare Law and Ethics. He created the fi rst Departmental Research Ethics Committee at Brunel nearly 20 years ago and is Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee. He is a long-standing LREC member, and co-convenor of the UK Universities Research Ethics Working Group. Mr Anderson-Ford is also Chairman Elect of the Association of Research Ethics Committees. Alison Blank Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Brunel University. She has worked in clinical practice for many years, principally in the fi eld of adult mental health. She has been extensively involved in the dissemination of the train- ing manual, Psychosis Revisited. This is a two-day workshop for mental health workers, service users and carers which provides a refl ective space for those involved with people who experience psychosis. Elizabeth Cassidy Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Brunel University. She has a Masters in Neuro-rehabilitation and extensive clinical experience in the fi eld of adult brain injury rehabilitation. She is specifi cally interested in the reha- bilitation approaches for people with ataxia and working in partnership with patients and carers in education and research. Christine Craik Director of Occupational Therapy at Brunel University. Her career has included extensive clinical and management experience in mental health and in occupational therapy education. She is a past Chairman of the
