There are 1751 dogs entered in this show & trials with a total entry of 1808 in 156 different Breeds or
Varieties, including 93 obedience entries and 36 rally entries.For your convenience, the following division
of sexes has been carefully tabulated; however, neither the Club nor the superintendent/show secretary
assumes responsibility for absolute accuracy.

Ramps at the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp: Boykin spaniels, Clumber
spaniels, Field spaniels, sussex spaniels, Welsh springer spaniels, Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, soft Coated
Wheaten Terriers, staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chinese shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden, norwegian Buhunds & Polish Lowland
sheepdogs. (Boykin spaniels & Whippets may be judged on the table, ramp or on the ground.)
In accordance with Akc board Policy, basset hounds and bulldogs are expected to be judged on the ramp in the Group and
best in show competitions. this extends to the 4–6 Month beginner Puppy competition, the Akc National Owner-handled
series (NOhs), and all other special attractions that offer Group and bIs competitions.

A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to the day of

Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.
Judges will Not wait for Any Dog holding Up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in
the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.
All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.
No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted.
As specified in chapter 12, section 4 of the aKC Rules applying to dog shows, information contained on the entry form is required
to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media.
entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from
competition by action of the event's show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health
emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control
of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions,
such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not
limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health
and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and,
in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made.

Waiver of Rights - Animals in Distress
Portland kennel club, Inc. & Portland Dog Obedience club, Inc. reserves the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked
vehicle or crate, and all persons attending these dog events hereby waive any claim for damages against the clubs for such removal.
The clubs regard the health, safety and life of any dog on the event grounds to be paramount to other property or privacy rights. we
will not page anyone to a vehicle - we will act.
Dog Bathing Facilities
There will be limited dog bathing capability, with hoses provided in an outdoor area.
Attention Exhibitors
the show site will be available to exhibitors at 3:00 P.M., thursday. Dogs must be removed from the show site 1 hour after best
in show on sunday.
All adults with children or who have supervision over minors are responsible for these minors while on the grounds.
the event committee will deal with irresponsible bicycling on the grounds.
No puppies under the age of six (6) months, except those participating in the 4-6 month Puppy competition, may be on
the grounds.

As a benefit to hound judges, future hound judges, and those who want to learn more about the coonhound breeds, Portland Kennel Club, Inc. is
pleased to host a coonhound breed seminar presented by Curt Willis, AKC Coonhound Department. All breeds of coonhounds will be covered in
this 90-minute to 2-hour seminar. The seminar will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, July 20, 2014, and will be followed by an American Kennel
Club Coonhound Bench Show.
No advance registration is required, but it would be helpful for space planning to have some idea of attendance. Thus, please email Jim Corbett if
