He holds a doctorate from the University ofLondon, where his thesis dealt with the International Arms Trade: Case Studies of India and Pakistan, 1947-86. Among his recent publications is a book entitled The Future ofthe Defence Industries ofCentral and Eastern Europe (1994). MichaelBrzoskais Research Director at the Bonn International Centre for Conversion. He has lectured at the University of Hamburg and has served as a project leader at the Unit for the Study ofArmaments, Development, and Wars. Dr Brzoska has also been a consultant for the United Nations, the World Bank and the European Parliament. Gil Feiler, senior lecturer in political science at Bar..Ilan University and lecturer in economics at Tel Aviv University, specializes in political and economic development, Middle East economiccooperation and Arab markets and economies.
