About the Author

Dr. James Pendleton is a primary care physician specializing in a naturopathic approach to family medicine. He has nurtured a family practice in Seattle, directed a VIP medical center in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates, and designed innovative nutritional supplements for manufacturers worldwide. He is also an assistant professor and has taught college sciences at several institutions, including Bastyr University. Dr. Pendleton received his training in primary care naturopathic medicine from prestigious Bastyr University. Prior to this he earned a bachelor of science in microbiology from Florida Atlantic University, and served as a military paramedic. Dr. Pendleton is passionate about the discovery and study of medicinal herbs. While he enjoys teaching and working with patients, he also searches for innovative medicinal herbs in the markets of India and Turkey, and the jungles of Southeast Asia and Central America.
