The initial permit fee is $75.00, with additional fees for city services provided.   Special Events Permit Procedure 4 Step 1: Contact the Department of Parks & Recreation at least two (2) months in advance of your event to make sure your requested field, court, street or park is available for your desired date. 4 Step 2: Request, complete and submit the Special Event Application to the Department of Parks & Recreation. ($1 million public liability insurance is required for field, special event and band trailer permits.) 4 Step 3: Your event will then either be approved and you will be invoiced for applicable fees, or denied for the use of your requested field, court, street or park.
