Welcome to our 2014 Bull & Gelding Sale
We would like to thank all of our friends and fellow cattlemen for
attending last year’s sale. It was a tremendous success and we
are grateful for the confidence shown in our breeding programs.
We feel sire selection is undoubtedly the most economical and
practical method to meet your herd’s goals. Whether you sell as
calves, yearlings or even keep heifers as replacements choosing
top quality bulls should be top priority. Look at the ultrasound
data. Look at the EPDs. These tools are there to help you. Look
at the genetics. Our bull pen has many half and three quarter
brothers allowing you to improve the uniformity of your next calf
crop. We are sure there is a bull here for you.
This past fall we saw some of the highest calf prices in history and
although they did drop a bit towards the end of the run it was very
evident that the quality calves were in high demand and received
the higher prices more than ever. Many of our buyers were privy to
these high prices and that in itself could not make us any prouder
of the bulls we have raised and offered for sale. When you hear
from your customers that their silver or tan calves have topped the
market on sale day it certainly can’t help but give you the feeling
that your bulls are doing the job they were intended to do.
We would like to thank Garth Cutler of Circle G Simmentals/Angus
for his contributions to a successful sale as well. Once again he
has put together a top notch group of bulls for you to choose from.
The numbers are up and the quality is still outstanding. Make sure
you check them out.
It is a pleasure to welcome Adam Schierman D.V.M. of Alkali
Lake Angus to the sale. He is a third generation Angus breeder
full of enthusiasm for the Angus breed and the cattle industry in
general. He is offering a dynamic group of Black Angus yearlings
for you to choose from.
There will also be another outstanding group of well broke ranch
horses for sale this year. We have had tremendous feedback on
the quality of the horses sold through this sale and this year will
not disappoint.
