Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana was opened at 9:00 A.M. in the Third or Master's Degree in due and ancient form by the Officers of Jacques deMolay Lodge 389. OPENING PRAYER Almighty and Glorious Lord God, Creator and preserver of all mankind, Thou hast promised that where two or three are gathered together in Thy Name Thou wilt be in their midst and bless them. Our numbers present this morning far exceed the two or three, and so we make bold to claim the fulfilment of Thy promise and ask that Thou wilt be present with us. We pray thy special blessing upon our most worshipful Grand Master and his official family. Guide and direct them in all their deliberations, and grant that decisions which shall be made in this session shall be such as will bring honor and glory to Thy Holy Name. Bless every member present with a special portion of thy favor and grant that the sublime principles of Free Masonry may so subdue every discordant passion within us, so fill and enrich our hearts with thine own love and goodness that this Grand Lodge may humbly reflect that beauty and order which reigns forever before thy Throne. Amen At the announced signal, the M.'.W.'. Grand Master of Masons of the State of Louisiana, Brother Peter L. Bernard, Jr. entered the Grand Lodge with his Officers. As he stood at the Altar, he was accorded the Grand Honors, after which he assumed his station in the Grand East.
