Description:ʻAbduʼl-Bahá was one of the foremost religious leaders of the late 19th century and early 20th century. He was the son and spiritual heir of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i World religion. From Iran he was exiled and imprisoned with his Father at the age of 8 (in 1863) and was not released until the Young Turk revolution released all political and religious prisoners in 1907. At 66 years old then he determined to take his Father's teachings on World Unity and the Oneness of the human family to the Western world. This book - Paris Talks - is a compilation of talks on the fundamental principles and teachings of the Baha'i World religion given in Europe and England in 1911-13. For those interested in the subject matter of these talks, another, more extensive volume of his talks given over the course of his 237 day journey to the United States and Canada will also be of interest. The title of that book is: The Promulgation of Universal Peace. All are available at: www.bahai.org as well.
