Proud lo Be Blue-hosed mascot and all, Presbyterian College was chersihed by community its Often we heard talk of the "PC community," a phrase which may have sounded trite to an out- sider, like something we spoke of simply to attract new students. However, this feeling of community did exist among the people who created it. Mem- bers ofthe faculty, staff, and student body, as well as residents of Clinton, took pride in the college to which they gave their time, talent, and money. Many also gave their hearts, and no matter how far from its buildings their circumstances may have taken them, these people would always be a part of Presbyterian College. This PC family was held together by its pride in what the institution had been, was, and was work- ing to become. It may not have been the ideal four- year home for some students, but others who choose to attend never regretted their decision. Managing Campus Closed doors to administrative of- fices were rare. The sounds of busy people filled the Smith Adminis- tration Building, Douglas House, Springs Campus Center, Greenville Dining Hall, the Development House and many other buildings on campus. These people were the ad- Administration ministration andstaffofthe college, and Staff the behind-the-scenes group that kept things running smoothly. From the mailroom in Springs to the Reg- istrars Office to the Public Safety Office, people could be found doing theirjobs and providing services to the college. They manag—ed the bills, the food, the grades they did everything except teach classes. They were the dedicated managers ofthe campus. f.v**r^: V. or*.
