Thereh ave been 23 UFO reportsr eceiveds o far thimso nth (22nd March), the majorityo f them being 11Fliyng Triangle1s1• These craft have beefnl auntingt hemselvesi n such a way thatth ey have obviouslym ade no attemptt o disguiset heirp resence. In the most recenti ncidento n the night of the 20th March,a Trianglep erformeda continuouss erieso f low circuitso ver the town of Ilkeston,c ommencinga t 8.15pm and continuing on until at least 1am the followingm orning. In another instancea brightlyi 1 1u min ated Triangle hovered over the main A52 road from Derby to Ashbourne, causingt he heavyt raffict o slow dowans driversl ookedu p unbelievablayt the crafth overingo verhead. The PRA grouph ave been exchangingt his informationw ith other groups up and down the countrya nd as a result we have now heard that Triangle activityh as been on the increase around Nottignham and also aroundP ortsmouthH,a mpshire. With the huge increase in the use of Video Camcorders, witnesses have recentlyb een able to producee videnceo f what they have observed. As a result of this, a number of video recordings coveringe vents around Derb,y have come into our possessi o n. It is intendedt o show these at the next PRA meeting on the night of the 28th March, when the whole evenin•g s programmew i1 1 be concentratedo n discussingt he present extraordinarsyi tuatoin. Althougha t one stage we consideredc ontactingt he Ministryo f Defencea boutt he UFO activityi n our area,o n reflectiont here seemedl ittlep oint. They are almostc ertainlya ware of what is going on and our intervention migohntl y draw "unweclo me11 M.O.D. attentiont o the fact that we now have documenteda nd video proof of Alien activitya round Derby. (Remember Peter Gregory's mysteriousv isitorsw ho 11borrowehdi"s UFO video!) FLYING TRIANGLES - WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? With the largen umbero f reportsn ow beingr eceivedt herea re a number of characteristicbse ing observeda nd a patterins now emerging(.fors implicit:y abbreviate" Flying Triangle"t o "FT") (a) ThFeT 's usuallya pproachf rom an Easterlyd irectiona nd have been observedc rossingo ver the coast neaMra blethorpaen d headingW estwards. (d) The lightings equence usually consists of an extremely bright 1i ght on the 11nos1e1a nd a white/orange1i ght on the other two corners. The FT may carry a red light closet o the 11nos1e1o r in a central position. Small red/white/bluaen d greenl ights (of a strangeh ue) havbee en seen along theed ges. Whenh overing,t he illuminateFdT may appeart o spin or dim. (e) The FT will probablyb e observeda t a low (1,5001-20,00') altitude. (f) It will emit only a low humming/whininsgo und, althougha 11roanrgi11h as been reportedi n isolatedi ncidents. {g) The speed can be 1s1upersnoic+11,b ut the FT will usually carry out its manoeuvreras t a speed around3 0mph. Howeveri t is also capableo f hoveringi n a stationarya nd silenmto de. (h) When travellinga crosst he countrya t nightt he FT has been observeds hootingd own a beam of lightt o the ground. (i) The FT1s may traveli n pairs,w ith one followingt he other. (j) The FT1s have often been observed within an hour of darkness( as early as 7.15pm), but may also appeara t any time during the night. It is believedt hat 1am-3ami s an active period. (k) The FT is capableo f Radar 11invisibil1i1ta ynd it may also 1s1witch off11 and disappeari f it detects the approach of unwelcomea ircrafta ttention.
