'Cause you're my young'uns too. Your mom does not teach Sunday School. You may have done a lotta wrong. Your dad's not on the "Board.* That some kids may have not known. nd clothes that come from ‘hand-me-downs’ But you've been washed in Jesus' blood. Are all you can afford. So you, too, are His own. You may not have a normal home, But I don't care what you once were. Or happy family. Or what you once went thru. You may not like your heritage. I only care that you are mine, Or know your family tree. 'Cause you're my young'uns too. But I don't care where you come from. You may have fear of all the gangs. But where you're goin' to. Who roam your neighborhood. I'm mighty proud to call you mine, You may not have the kind of house. 'Cause you're my young'uns too. That you off wish you could. You may not have a pretty house, You may not have a pretty yard. Like do the rest of us, Where you can run and play. You do not ride a car to church, You can't go to a private room. You ride a bumpy bus. Where you. alone, can stay. I'm not concerned how you arrive, You do not know the coziness. I'm just sure glad you do. When at the end of day You're real important round this place. To nestle on your daddy's knee. 'Cause your my young uns too And hear him kindly say. You may not dress with fancy clothes. 'I love you and I'm glad you're mine.* Like other young folks do. Then see him bow to pray. But you look great to Brother Hyles, You look at other people's homes. He loves you thru and thru. And wish yours were that way. I'm not concerned 'bout fancy dress. But- I'm just concerned 'bout you. There is a place where you can go. I'm mighty proud to be your friend, And feel as loved as I.
