This issue covers the reports for calendar year 1994. Transport Statistics in the United States also replaces two other publications, Summary Tables of the Annual Report on the Statistics of Railways in the United States and PrelimiAbnstararcty o f Rahway Statistics, The present form of publication permits easy assembly of parts and portions desired in a stanloodse alearf bdind er. This document contains data for the class I railroads. Data for motor carriers are issued in two separate releases. Class I railroads are defined as railroads carning adjusted annual operating revenues for three consecutive years of $250,000,000 or more. Railrwitoh alesds sth an $250,000,000 revenues are classified as cither class II ($20,000,000 to $250,000,000 revenues) or class III (less than $20,000in, re0ve0nu0es) . Class II and class III railroads are exempt from filing reports with the ICC. The railroad portion of Transport Statistics in the United States is in the same format as the 1993 edition, . The districts to which the railroads have been assigned for statistical purposes are shown in the following map.
