We are proud to present the 10th annual Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) catalog, a comprehensive listing of our quality
products and services. This catalog is designed with you, our customer, in mind and offers an easy to use method to select and
purchase the items necessary to compliment your office, work space or any business need.
As the prison industry arm of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS), MCE consists of 30 plus
business units located at correctional facilities across the state. While working to produce exceptional products and services, MCE
also provides inmates with much needed job skill training. Unlike other vendors in the manufacturing industry, our mission is to teach
our inmate employees strong work ethic, increased responsibility and self-esteem to create positive personal change. Our programs
produce significantly reduced recidivism rates, which ultimately contribute to more productive citizens and safer communities.
In order to increase the amount of training offered to our offender population, MCE is dedicated to manufacturing superior products
at affordable prices while providing excellent customer service. Our product line varies widely to meet a full range of business
requirements and features furniture for offices, reception areas, libraries, dorms, lounges and outdoor settings. Additional products
and services include furniture restoration, food products, office supplies, apparel, cleaning products, mailing and distribution, data
entry, warehousing, moving, laundry, printing and remanufactured toners.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) is
to provide structured employment and training activities for
offenders in order to improve employability upon release, to
enhance safety and security, to reduce prison idleness, to
produce quality, saleable goods and services, and to be a
financially self-supporting State Agency.
VISION STATEMENT
Maryland Correctional Enterprises endeavors to employ all
eligible offenders to reduce recidivism and to be a financially
successful organization. We strive to ensure continued
professional development and training for our civilian and
inmate staff. We will be an integrated, well-managed,
technologically progressive and eco-friendly organization that
will provide our customers with the highest quality goods and
services.

Environmentally Preferred Purchasing (EPP)
All State Agencies have been tasked with reporting the use of recycled content in
purchases.
EPP is documented in the Maryland Green Purchasing Guidelines developed to meet the Green Maryland Act of
2010 in the State Finance and Procurement Articles §14-405 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
We want to make both purchasing and reporting easier. Almost all of our products have EPP qualities and are
manufactured with recycled materials wherever possible. MCE is continually striving to reduce our negative impact to
