NOTIFICATION
The 13th January 2015
S. R. O. No. 17/2015—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 33 of the Odisha Forest
Act, 1972 (Odisha Act 14 of 1972), the State Government do hereby declare that the following land situated in
Village Jukub under Banarpal Tahasil of the District of Angul mutated and transferred in favour of Forest Department
for compensatory afforestation purposes against the proposed diversion of forest land for construction of approach
road for 2X600 MW Thermal Power Plant at Village Derang in Kaniha Tahasil of Angul district by M/s Jindal
India Thermal Power Limited vide Stage - II Forest Clearance Order No. 5-ORB-188/2013-BHU., dated the 24th
September 2014 of Government of India, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Eastern Regional Office under
Section 2 of the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, the limits of which are specified below and the area of which
is 4.8603 Ha. shall be Protected Forests with effect from the date of issue of the Notification and shall be known
as “Jukub Protected Forest”.
