NOTIFICATION
The 2nd January 2013
SUBJECT—Constitution of Committee for amendment/revision of Odisha Forest Code.
No. 117—IV-Aud-3/2012—In supersession of this Deptt. Office Order No. 9727, dated the 12th June 2006
and O/o No. 1941, dated the 27th January 2010 a committee with the following officials is reconstituted to
examine the existing provisions of this Code, Manuals etc. of Forest & Environment Department and to suggest
delegation of financial and administrative powers to all levels from the Range level to the level of Head of
Department :—

3. P.C.C.F. (K.L.)/ Representative . . Member
4. P.C.C.F. (W.L.)/Representative . . Member
5. P.D. ,O.F.S.D.P./ Representative . . Member
6. Additional Secretary, F. & E. Department . . Member
7. M. D., O.F.D.C. Ltd. . . Member
8. C.A.O., o/o P.C.C.F., Odisha . . Member
9. C.C.F. (Forest Code), o/o P.C.C.F,. Odisha . . Member-Convenor
The Chairman/Vice-Chairman may call the CCF concerned, o/o P.C.C.F., Odisha during the meeting as
and when the related matter is to be discussed. Expert/retired forest officers may also be requested by the
Chairman/Vice-Chairman if their services are felt useful in the discussion.
Terms of reference of the Committee shall be as follows :—
(a) Revision of O.F.D. Code, 1979 including duties and responsibilities of posts created/ restructure after
1979 delegation of financial and administration powers to all levels.
(b) Enhancing capabilities of the Department in execution of different works by examining execution through
VSS, contractors, tenderers etc.
(c) Working schedule rate for different forestry operators in collaborations with Labour Department for
facilitating execution of forestry activities on contract basis.
(d) Any other matter for advancement of forestry.
The Committee shall submit their report to the Government within a period of three months from the date
of Notification.
