ORDER
The 2nd January 2012
No. 10—Legal.-46/2011-SEC.—Whereas, election to the office of Sarpanch of Krushan Chhai
Gram Panchayat under Sheragada Block, Kanchana Gram Panchayat under Khallikote Block and
Panchayat Samiti Member of Ambapur and Gundra Gram Panchayat under Patrapur Block in the
District of Ganjam were excluded from the Commission's Notification Nos. 6062 and 6074, all
dated the 24th December 2011 ;
Whereas, as per the order of the Hon'ble High Court, Orissa, the period of four weeks of the
disposal of cases by the Collector, Ganjam is over ;
Now, therefore, the State Election Commission in exercise of powers conferred under
Article 243-K of the Constitution of India and Rule 13 read with Rules 18, 47 and 75 of the Orissa
Grama Panchayat Election Rules, 1965 ; Rule 4(2) read with Rules 17, 30 and 37 of the Orissa
Panchayat Samiti Election Rules, 1991 directs that the election shall be held to the above offices
as per the Commission's Notification Nos. 6062 and 6074, all dated the 24th December 2011.
