NOTIFICATION
The 19th January 2008
S.R.O.No.38/2008— Whereas a notification showing reservation of offices of Mayor
of the Municipal Corporations of the State for different categories of Citizen was published
as required under sub-rule (8) of rule 80 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation (Division of
City into wards, Reservation of Seats and conduct of election) Rules,2003, in the extra
ordinary issue No.2449 of the Orissa Gazette dated the 19th December, 2007 under the
notification of the Government of Orissa in the Housing and Urban Development
Department No.28701–Ele–35/2007/HUD., dated the 19th December,2007 as S.R.O.
No.648/2007 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons interested thereby till the
expiry of a period of fifteen days from the date of publication of the said notification in the
Orissa Gazette ;
And whereas no objection and suggestion has been received within the stipulated
period ;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (4) of section 14 of the Orissa
Municipal Corporation Act,2003 (Orissa Act 11 of 2003) read with sub-rule (9) of rule 80 of
the said rules, the State Government do hereby reserve the offices of the Mayor of the
Corporations described in column (2) of the schedule below for the categories of citizen
mentioned against each in column (3) thereof.
