Yearbook is Dedicated to... f We the class of 2006 would like to dedicate the One Hundred and Twenty Second edition of the Oak Lily and Ivy Yearbook to our class advisors, Rose duca and Marcia DelVecchio. There are no words to express our thankfulness and gratitude for two very special women here at Milford High School. Mrs. Rosemarie Duca and Mrs. Marcia DelVecchio, both parents of graduating seniors and advisors to the class, helped our class reach goals that were unheard of at Milford High School. From selling beach towels freshman year, to sponsoring the Mr. MHS competition senior year, the Class of 2006 and advisors were always up to take the challenge. Since the day we met our advisors in September 2002, we knew they were unlike anybody we ever met. At times, they not only advised the class, but also filled the role of mother/mentor to us all. As the Class of 2006 graduates and moves on to new experiences and opportunities, we can not be more appre¬ ciative for the memories we had at our Ring Dance, Junior Prom, Senior Formal, and Senior Prom. Additionally, we can not forget the car washes and kiddie carnivals, events that not only brought us closer together, but also shaped us into the individuals we are today. The Class of 2006 has been constantly recognized as polite, respectful young men and women who will be the future leaders of Ameri¬ ca. Undoubtedly, we have you, our advisors and parents to thank. Leaving you and Milford High School behind will be very hard on us, but rest assured, we will never let you down. As Dr. Seuss said, ...be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Lifek a Great Balancing Act. Just never for¬ get to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.) KID, YOU’LL MOVE MOUNTAINS! Thank you for four wonderful years. It is now our turn to make the world a better place. We will never forget you! Milford High School 31 West Fountain Street Milford, MA 01757 June 2006 Dear Class of 2006: You have earned the notoriety of one of Milford High School’s most unified classes in recent history. As a group you have accomplished numerous tasks which have helped to enhance our school culture, while preserving our many traditions of excellence. This is the true story of 250 students, forced to go to school together and have their lives taped. Find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting REAL! It was September of2002 when we, the Class of 2006, stepped into reality. We started out as most stars do... unknown. That first year came as a bit of a surprise. We didnt know the rules; quite frankly we didnt know much at all. We were merely fresh¬ men, and it would take four years to reach our fame. Dodging seniors in the hallways and spending our first lunch mod waiting to see what table was open for us to sit at wasnt easy. The reward came when we experienced our first bread bowl, which made waiting worthwhile. Within the first couple months stink bombs and jammed lockers became a weekly event, and school IDs bn your person just helped seniors differenti¬ ate the freshman from the school population. The Real World was no longer just a TV show, it became our lives, and school became our gauntlet and fight for survival. We, the Class of2006, entered sophomore year at MHS a year older, ayear wiser and another year of being an underclassmen. That year would be our first year televised. That year got us one step closer to the red carpet. On November 9th, 2003 we attended the annual Ring Dance. Our year ended with the sophomore MCAS testing. We were served the breakfast of champions, orange juice and bagels, sponsored by the MHS Scar¬ let Express, while the rest of the student body enjoyed the comfort of sleeping in an extra couple of hours for a week straight. u
