Abstract A new pterostichinecarabidbeetle is described from the Tohoku
District, NorthJapan, under the name ofPterostichus (Eosteropus) noboru1. It is
relatedtop.(E)tokuiMORITA,butdiffersfromitintheshapeofthehindanglesof
pronotum. A problem about thecotype of Pterostichus (Eosteropus) fuliginous
MoRAwITzisnoted.
Themainpurposeofthisshortpaperistodescribeanewspeciesandtoaccommo-
dateitinmyearlierkeygiveninthelastyear.
Theabbreviations used herein are thesameas thoseexplained in my previous
papers.
