I’m taking it as a sign that this climb 16 was meant to be. The wind’s about ten knots. Temp’s a balmy ten below. 17 Glacier’s broad as Whoring Kate’s ass, and icy as her heart. 18 Even so, Kate gave us a proper send-off last night. Even gave us what 19 you could call a group rate. 20 Don’t know what the hell we’re doing here, except you gotta be 21 somewhere doing something. A winter climb on No Name’s as good a 22 something as any, and better than most. 23 A man needs a week’s adventuring now and then, adventuring that 24 excludes bad liquor and loose women.
