Rider ND Department of Entomology, North Dakota State University, Fargo, 58105, U.S.A. (e-mail: [email protected]). — Abstract. Numerous generic level nomenclatural problems in the Pentatomoidea (Het- eroptera) are discussed and corrected. These corrections have necessitated twelve generic replacement names: Cachanocoris for Sambirania Cachan 1952; Grassatoraina for Gras- sator Ruckes 1965;Jaynia for Mehmociyptus Linnavuori 1982; Kitsoniocoris forKitsonia Gross 1975; Nkolbissonicoris for Nkolbissonia Linnavuori 1982; Platistocoris for Platis- tiis Herrich-Schiiffer 1853; Qadrianocoris for Qadricma Ahmad and Rana 1987; Rucke- siocoris for Seleuochilus Ruckes 1964; Schraderiellus for Schraderia Ruckes 1959; Sean- sonius for Kuightiella Ahmad and Khan 1980; Stevesonius for Phyllocoris Jeannel 1913; and Zhengius for Tibetocoris Zheng and Liu 1987. Nineteen new combinations are recognized: Cachanocoris obsciiriis (Cachan), Grassatorama ni,i>roveiitris (Ruckes), G. reticidatus (Ruckes), G. sinuatus (Ruckes), Jayma ajfinis (Schouteden), J. fimebris (Schouteden), J. porosa (Stal), Kitsoniocoris rubrocoriosa (Gross), Nkolbissonicoris ru- bescens (Linnavuori), Platistocoris spiniceps (Herrich-Schiiffer), Qadrianocoris pishee- nensis (Ahmad and Rana), Ruckesiocoris nitidiis (Ruckes), Schraderiellus cinctiis (Ruck- es), 5. hiighesae (Ruckes), Seansoniiisjiavifrons (Distant), Stevesonius acutus (Jeannel), S. jeanneli (Schouteden), Zhengius spiniferus (Zheng and Liu), and Z. zhangmuensis (Zhang and Lin). Three new generic synonyms also are proposed: Dichelops (Neodi- chelops) Grazia 1978 as a junior synonym of D. (Diceraeus) Dallas 1851; Keriahana Distant 1918 as a junior synonym of Neostrachia Saunders 1877; and Acanthidiellum Kirkaldy 1904 as a junior synonym of Polycarmes Stal 1867.
