Newton Fund – Mission Statement
“Research and Innovation for Growth and Prosperity”
The Newton Fund aims to promote the economic development and welfare of either the
16 partner countries or, through working with the partner country, to address the problems
of low-income populations around the world.
It will do so through strengthening their science and innovation capacity and unlocking
further funding to support poverty alleviation.
It is part of the UK’s official development assistance (ODA)
