FOREWORD

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and Merciful

Allah (swt) created the entire creation for a human being so that we may worship Him. After creating us, He
did not leave us alone. He gave us messengers and leaders so that we may follow them and be on the straight
path. He revealed holy books through His messengers and provided every opportunity for our growth. Indeed,
a successful man takes His blessings and makes use of them in order to get closer to Him.

Islamic Jantri contains some useful Islamic material. It contains the Islamic lunar calendar, nohas, poetry,
ziyarat, duas, and other material that the Shias of Ahlulbait (as) regularly use. Jantri also contains some
astrological things which may be or may not be based on Ahadith. However, some material is purely based on
astrology and may not carry Islamic weight. This can, however, be used as a reference. If you notice that a
certain day is not good to perform certain acts (such as travel), then one is recommended to give some charity
and may perform that act. This Jantri is targeted toward Urdu speaking population whose Urdu may not be
strong.

I thank sister Malika Jafri and the publishers for their hard work and dedication for making this Islamic Jantri.
May Allah reward them for their work.

Oh Allah, grant us the wisdom to understand our capacity so that we may accomplish the best for Your sake.
Give us more blessings and inspire our hearts so that we never forget your mercy and benevolence. Forgive
our sins and purify our hearts. Give us the understanding of your apostles, messengers, and our leaders so
that we hold on to their teachings and never fall astray.

PREFACE
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and Merciful

By blessing of Allah Subhan-e-Taalla the first edition of Islamic English Jantri (2012) was circulated to readers
all over the world and the publisher was able to continue this sadqa jaryia for the year 2013.
The idea to compile the Jantri in English is to bring our English speaking youth, young parents and all the
English readers closer to nurture their intellect about Islam and to make it easier for them to utilize the
information given in their daily life.
To compile a Jantri means to put all the useful information together such as the Islamic calendar, Duas,
Ammals, Ziaarats, horoscopes and some useful articles. Since I received positive feedback from readers and
received many emails and phone calls in support for this hard work, I decided to publish some popular Duas ,
Ziaraats, Ammals and dream interpretation by Imam Jafar Al Sadiq AS as well as names of newborn children in
every edition, because, I believe these information are important and useful.
The success of the 2012 edition of this Jantri had more than exceeded all of our expectations. We had 1000
printed copies and distributed them to the readers for free. Additionally, we received requests of more copies
from our readers internationally which led us to print more copies this year. I am very humbled by the positive
response and it gives me encouragement to do more. I am sure that readers will like the contents as well the
presentations.
We thoroughly check the information before publication but if you do find any error or if there is anything
which requires more explanation please do not hesitate to contact me.

Ali Rasul ke kaandhon pe hen to phir kya hain

Ab isko na abad kabhi paye gi zainab.
Kitab pe to hamesha kitab rakhtey hain

Suna hai tum se k ishq e Ali gunah hai to phir Ghar ja k kisay dekhay gi qasim hain na abbas
Akbar se bhi hai pas
Hum apnay paas gunah ka sawab rakhtay hain
Apnay Ali asghar ko kahan payegi zainab.

Bilal jaisay Ali baadshah ke nokar bhi
Pochen gay Jo sab log k bazo pe hua kya
Hatheliyon men kaheen Aftaab rakhtay hain Ye neel hai kaisa
Kis kis ko nishan rassi k dikhlayegi zainab.
Hisab hi men nahi, ho hamen hisab ka dar
Phut jayega bus dekh k hi ghar ko kaleja
Dilon men hub e Ali be hisab rakhtay hain
Yaad aao gay bhaiya
Dil dhonday ga tumko tu kahan payegi zainab.
Hum apni chashm e tammana men aey Imam e

Beparda hui qaid bhi khwahar nay uthai

Zainab ney qasre zulm e yazeedi gira diya

Sadiyun me jo bana usay lamhun me dha diya,

Qatrun me bhar diya hai samandar nichoor kar

Ashke gham e hussain ko toofan bana diya,

Naazan tha kufr jispe usi takht o taj ko

Zillat ki naaliyun me utha kar baha diya,

Zanjeero tauq baais e zillat nahi rahay

Zindaan ko huriat ka dabistan bana diya,
Bhai k gham ko paal k aulaad ki tarhan
Har dard mand dil ka sahara bana diya
