Thepresent paper is the second part of the series dealing with themyrme-
cophi1ousspeciesofthegenusDrusi11aLEACHfromChina. Inthispart,wearegoing
todescribetwonewspeciesofthegenusonthebasisofmaterialstakeninHubeiand
HunanProvincesonthecollectingtripmadebyDr.YukiIMuRAandthesecondauthor
in2000.For theabbreviationsused in thispaper, refer toMARUYAMAandKIsHIMoTo
(2002).

Etymology. Dedicated toDr. Yuki IMURA (Yokohama), anexe1lent taxonomist
ofthesubfamilyCarabinae(Coleoptera,Carabidae)andthepartnerofTKs' collecting
trip(2000)toChina.

Headcircular(width/length=0.94),moderatelyconvex,broadestbehindtheante-
rior margin,slightly depressedabove;surfaceveryslightly reticulatedandsparsely
coveredwithsetae;eyemoderateinsize,withveryfinepubescenceamongfacets;Ion-
gitudina1diameterofeyeslightlyshorter thanthelengthofpostocularpart;clypeus
depressed laterally. Antenna11-segmente 1stsegment stout and apically dilated,
nearly2.5timesaslongasbroad;2ndshorter thanthe ist;3rdmuchlonger thanthe
2ndbutsomewhatshorterthantheist;4thto10theachslightlylonger thanwide;11th
conical, 1.5 times as long as broad; relative lengths of segments from basal to

Notes. Thetypeserieswastaken fromtrailsofdendrolasiineantinasmallsec-
ondary forestmixedwithevergreenanddeciduoustreesinXianfengXian,southwest-
ernHubei. They were observed withother myrmecophi1ousstaphylinids including
Drusilla、,unnanenslsPACE.

margin;sidemarginweaklysinuate;discwithmediansulcus,andwithasmall round
depression beforemedian posterior margin; surface finely punctured, covered with
longsetae,andwith2suberectbristlesaroundanterolateralcorners.Scutellumtrian-
gular;surfaceslightlypuncturedandsparselycoveredwithminutesetae.Metasterna1
processapically rounded.Elytraparallel-side broader thanlong(width/length=1.4)

Diagnosis. Drusz11a dendrolasli issimilar to the members of the canaliculata
groupintheexpandedabdomenandsmallelytra,buteasilydistinguished fromthese
bytheentirehindwingsandthesmallerbody.FromtheothermemberofDrusi11awith
entirehindwings, thisspeciescanbedistinguishedbythebody almost uniformly
brownandthespermathecabearingverylargecapsule.
Notes. Thetypelocalityisasecondarydeciduousforestsituatedatthebackyard
ofasmallvillageinLongshanXian,northwestHunan (alt.1,030m). Thespecimens
werecollected fromthetrailsof L. (D)spathepuswithother staphylinids including
twoDrusi11aspecies(D.watanabeiMARUYAMAetKIsHIMOT0,D ylMnanenslsPACE),
histerids,scydmaenidsandmyrmecophilouscrickets.
Hostant. Laslus(Dendrolasius)spathepus.(DeterminedbyMM)
Distribution. China(HunanProvince).
要 約
丸山宗利・岸本年郎: クサァリ亜属と共生する中国産ニセセミゾハネカクシ属Drus,Ilaの好
蟻性種 (第2報). - 中国湖北省および湖南省でクサアリ亜属のコロニーより得られたニセ
セミゾハネカクシ属の2種を検討した結果, 未記載種であることが判明したので命名して記載
した. D. imura,はD.watanabeiを含むcanalicu/ata群の種に似ているが, 完全な後地と幅広い地
鞘をもっことなどで区別される. 一方, D dend,・o/as,,は後翅をもち, ほぼ単色であることや,
特徴的な雌の貯精襲をもっことにより同属の他の種から区別される. また両種のホストについ
ても報告した.
