The museum contains 8 main halls including two exhibition halls to host temporary or visiting exhibitions . The following are the name of these halls: Human and Universe Hall, Old Arabian States Hall, Pagan Age Hall, The Birth of Islam Hall, Islam and the Arabian Peninsula Hall, The first and second Saudi State Hall, The Union of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hall, and the Hajj and the two Holly Mosques Hall. It also contains a number of weapons used during those times such as shotguns and swords. The museums also displays pictures and illustrations about modern development in all sectors in the Kingdom. King AbdulAziz Memorial Hall is devoted to the history of King AbdulAziz , his majesty’s impact, personal belongings, and glimpses of his private and public life. These items are divided into three collections which are: First collection: represent a biography of the late King AbdulAziz and includes (cid:131) written texts, some paintings and pictures that illustrate his upbringing, personal history, and his efforts to unite the country. Second collection: ism private library of the late King and includes series of files, (cid:131) periodicals and rare volumes collected by the King himself during his lifetime which can be estimated as 1551 books. Third collection: includes a number of historical items , pictures, illustrative maps (cid:131) that belonged to King AbdulAziz and related to the country’s history during his era. The collections also includes a large number of different shotguns, swords, daggers, spears, and Saudi coins that were manufactured during his reign.
