He was Allen Henry Endow Chair Professor at the FloridaInstituteofTechnologyfromJuly2003toDecember2007;ontheElectricalandCom- puterEngineeringfacultyattheUniversityofRochesterfrom1992to1996;andontheElec- tricalandComputer Engineering facultyattheUniversityofMissouri-Columbiafrom1996 to2003. Professor Chen has been the Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Multimedia since January 2014. He has also served as the Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology from 2006 to 2009, and been an editor for several other majorIEEEtransactionsandjournals. He is the coordinator of the Marie CurieInitialTrainingNetworkonQoEformultimediaservices,involvingtenEuropeaninsti- tutionsandoneinSouthKorea. ProfessorAtzorihasbeenanEditorforWirelessNetworksJournalandaGuestEditorfor IEEECommunications Magazine, MonetJournal, andSignal Processing:ImageCommuni- cationsJournal.HeisamemberoftheeditorialboardofIEEEInternetofThingsJournaland AdHocNetworks.Hehasservedastechnicalprogramchairforvariousinternationalconfer- encesandworkshops.Hehasalsoservedasareviewerandpanelistformanyfundingagencies, includingFP7,Cost,theItalianMinistryofEducation,UniversitiesandResearch(MIUR),and Regional. Periklis Chatzimisios (SMIEEE) is Associate Professor at the Department of Informat- ics at Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki (Greece). Recently, he has been a Visiting Aca- demic/Researcher at the University of Toronto (Canada) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). Dr. Chatzimisios is involved in several standardization activities, serv- ingasaMemberoftheStandardsDevelopmentBoardfortheIEEECommunicationSociety (ComSoc) (2010–today), as Secretary of the IEEE 1907.1 Standardization Working Group, andlatelyasanactivememberofIEEEResearchGroupsontheInternetofThings,Commu- nications&NetworkingInfrastructure,andSoftwareDefined&VirtualizedWirelessAccess.
