School years come and go, but the
building usually remains the same. How
ever this year the high school not only
got a new look and a remodeled cafeteria
but it also had a few changes in the facul
ty. An extra period was added to the day
and a variety of new clubs made their
debut, making this a year of change.
Gretchen Peters, a member of .H.S., pins a
corsage on a new member of the faculty.
The new staff members enthusiastically gather for a
snapshot before headin!f to their morning classes.
Ready for action, the tools being used for the restora
tion of the high school stand at attention.
Students enjoy eating in the newly remodeled cafeteria,
decorated in maroon and white for added spirit.
Overlooking the patio the sun splashes its rays over the
construction area awaiting completion.
Stripped to the bare bone, the cafeteria anxiously
awaits its upcoming make - over.

l\1any changes happened throughout
the community during the course of this
year. Buildings were torn down and new
ones were added. An extra stretch of
walkway was added to the Ben Butter
worth Parkway, and a local college built
a new library. These however, were just a
few of the many changes that occurred.
'Sidewalk Closed' a common symbol representing the building
of the 'superblock' in the downtown area.
'The Long and Winding Road', a new addition to the
Ben Buccerworch Parkway give.~ an added bonus to a
walker's workout and a bt!!<Wtiful view for everyone.
I The dome, a symbol for outhpark Mall, stands
proudly against the sky despite of the construction.

On a crisp autumn day the high school is beautified by
the changing leaves.
EVERYWHERE.
The road towards enlightenment is framed amongst the
boughs of the green leaves of spring.
Changes have occurred everywhere.
Whether the change has happened in
the coming of a new season, of a special.
holiday, or in the dawning of a beauti
ful new day. Changes help us remem
ber the past and look with hope to
wards the future.
