Every page clearly illustrates that here is an author who not only writes about magick, but has obviously practiced it successfully. This book is a must for the beginner as well as the advanced student who wants to effect ‘change’ and explore the ‘worlds’ beyond the physical plane.” —Cris Monnastre, former student of Israel Regardie “I am sure that there are many, like myself, who consider it the missing key to the Golden Dawn system.” —Roger Williamson, author of The Sun at Night “This is one of those rare books that is a seminal work of magick . . . [It] presents one of the most complete references on the Kabbalah that I have ever seen outside of the Jewish religion.” —DavensJournal.com “This is a wonderful book!” —David Godwin, author of Godwin’s Cabalistic Encyclopedia “This may well be the best book available for anyone who actually wants to begin doing magick, as opposed to merely reading about it.” —Donald Tyson, author of The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy and Enochian Magick for Beginners “Modern Magick is one of those ‘must have’ books . . . Everything is clear and concise. In other words: highly recommended.” —Lord Joshu, P.A.N. Pipes “If you are looking for an effective key to unlocking the mysteries and experience of the Western magickal tradition, this is certainly an effective one.” —Kenneth Deigh, publisher and editor of Mezlim Magazine “This is a book you will keep at the ready for research, advice, study, and a road map through the often confusing paths of the world of high magickal arts. Recommended!” —Brother Shadow, The Path “Gives the serious student all the tools needed to be a magician . . .” —Pyramid Books “This unusual book might well have been written by Aleister Crowley himself, from whom the author draws extensively yet always responsibly . . . Well written, informative, and extremely practical, this is essentially a work for the doer rather than the dreamy theorist.” —William Gray, author of Temple Magick “At last a book that cuts through the mysteries of one of the most mysterious subjects. Mr. Kraig breaks down many doors that have deterred so many true seekers of light by giving detailed, understandable explanations of the secrets that others have covered up.” —Brook Martin, Sunsight News What readers are saying about Modern Magick “Modern Magick has had an incredible influence on my life. It has opened up gateways I never knew existed.” —C. R., Norman, OK “I found it to be a very informative book covering just about every important aspect of the High Magickal arts.” —M. G., New York, NY “Your own practical experience and your lucid commentary that pulls it all together make the book feel as if it were written specifically for me at just this time.” —R. A., London, England “It is just the type of book I have been looking for over the past twenty years!” —K. W., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada “Your book amplifies and clarifies a lot of interesting things concerning the rituals and the ways of getting in touch with the powers.” —D. J., Stenhamra, Sweden “Your book is wonderful. It is the reason why I am now practicing instead of just reading.” —R. J. C., Metarie, LA “I am impressed with your practicality and logic.” —C. W. T., Medford, OR “Modern Magick has been a great blessing for [a] beginner in the study of [the] esoteric arts like myself, and I deeply thank you for writing such a wonderful text.” —S. T. I want to give my deepest thanks to Sandra and Carl Weschcke for their continued support and friendship; Michael Magee, Jonn Mumford, and Sunyata Saraswati, who started me in new spiritual directions; Tad James and Matt James, who helped me to further understand the power of the mind; and, most importantly, to all of those people who have read my books and attended my workshops, for you have taught me more than I would have believed possible. I hope you do not mind that I prefer not to think of you as readers or students or (heaven forbid!) fans—instead, I think of you as my friends. Original Dedication This book is dedicated to all of my teachers in the hope that what they shared with me I can now share with others. These teachers include: My parents, Frater A.M.A.G., Soror S.I.A.A., Frater D.D.C.F., Frater P., and others whose names I’ll not use; Scott Cunningham and Raven [Grimassi], for their beautiful teachings; Rabbis Meriminsky and Haas; [Dr.] Michael Turk and Sifu Douglas Wong; and so many others. Further, this book is Dedicated with poignant memory of what might have been to AEGIS
