W elcome to another issue of Mobiography Magazine, your essential guide to the best tips, insights and sources of inspiration from the mobile photography world. In this issue, I talk to two talented photographers, Unai Momoitio and Rosie Karel. Unai Momoitio is an iPhone photographer from Spain, whose work features lone figures set in wide-open spaces. She also incorporates soft, atmospheric lighting conditions and vibrant colors, which help to connect the viewer with her subjects. Rosie Karel is a photographer and artist from Chicago. Rosie’s photography has an eclectic style, but the common thread in her images is very much rooted in the use of Hipstamatic with a soft, painterly approach. Following my review of the Reeflex Camera app in the April issue of Mobiography, I’ve been road-testing the range of add-on iPhone lenses from Reeflex. Find out how they performed and how they can be used to add more creativity to your photography. In our beginner’s guide section, Rob Dunsford looks at how to fix common photographic mistakes in-camera rather than trying to fix them later in post-production. Finally, Nicki Fitz-Gerald delivers another mobile art tutorial, which, this time, takes a look at another A.I.-inspired photo editor app, Prequel. Find out what Prequel can do and how you can use it to create fantastic art with your mobile. As always, don’t forget to share your photos with Mobiography on Instagram by using the hashtag #mobiography, and keep an eye out for the latest news and updates about the Mobiography Awards and the upcoming live show events.
