Komtar Run attracts thousands

KOMTAR’s 58 levels seem like an insurmountable feat for most
people and yet, many have run up the 58 floors for years.
The Komtar Run was held for the seventh consecutive year
recently and received the most participants with 1,300 people
taking part.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and Tanjong MP Ng Wei Aik
attended the event and gave away the prizes to the winners.
“In order to be an international city, we must organise such
international competitions. To make Penang shine even more,
next year, Komtar will get its gleaming bubble lift. It will be
the highest bubble lift in Malaysia,” Lim said.
“From the fifth floor, you can take a ride in the bubble lift
to the 65th and 66th floors and enjoy the panoramic view of the
whole of Penang,” he added.
