The date maybe needed by researchersbut it is also helpful for catalogingand to confirm identification ofthesubject. In this half-dayworkshop,the presenterwill explain major types of 19th centuryphotographic processes used forportraiture and when theywerepopular,followed bytechniques for dating photographs.
