ABN 48 001 642 628 BACKGROUND One Brand … One Business … One Administrative Body … Fostering the game for all amateur golfers in NSW GOLF NSW LTD. is the peak representative body of golf in NSW. On 1 July 2010, NSW Golf Association (a) to arrange and control suburban interclub matches, and decide any questions arising in connection and Women’s Golf NSW forged a historical alliance by merging to form a single united body ... Golf NSW. therewith, and (b) to arrange matches between combined teams and the two metropolitan clubs, The Australian and The pioneers of golf in NSW are captured in the book written by David Innes, “The Story of Golf in New Royal Sydney, or country clubs, and to select combined teams (Innes, 1988, p.64). As the oldest golfing trophy in Australia still being contested by the Club’s members today. orgnaisation grew, the LGU was renamed to Women’s Golf NSW in 1996. The Royal Sydney Golf Club was formed on 2 August 1893 as the Sydney Golf Club by L Dobbin, I Kent, The rise of governing bodies saw the formation of a representative Council in 1905 with the inaugural H.M. Hamilton, G. Devonshire, A. Bowman, E.M. Stephen and G.R. Campbell (Chair). The Club hosted its New South Wales Golf Council which consisted of nine delegates represented by The Australian, Royal first championship two months later which was won by Herbert Allen.
