Joseph Pleck received a degree in Social Relations and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Harvard University. He is now teaching and doing research at the Residential College and the Institute of Social Re- search, both at the University of Michigan. He has lec- tured and written widely on male sex roles and men's liberation. Jack Sawyer received degrees in mathematics from Iowa State University, psychology from Ohio State University, and industrial psychology from Purdue University, then worked as a personnel research psy- chologist with the Department of the Army. He later taught social psychology and did research at the Uni- versity of Chicago, Northwestern University, and Har- vard University.
