The results were in: HHS wouldbe movedtoabrand new location and the middle school would take overthe current high school struc- ture. But before the board could even casttheir votes on the subject, excited HHS staffmembers were caught up in drawing layouts, making complicated proposals, and talking about theirplans forthe new building. While everyone else was drawn into the hype, the students were leftto deal with the current building and everything that went withit. Though the school is rich with history, we were all ready forachange. Renovations were completed at last, but while HHS students forthe next three years enjoy airconditioningrnew restrooms, and acardio lab, they will miss outon the anticipation ofwhat the new school will actually be like. None ofthe students enrolled at HHS this yearwill be around to attend the new high school, and in many ways the students were simply makingthemostofit.
