HENDRICKX (2020) Redescription of the rare shrimp Heterocarpus nesisi (Burukovsky, 1986) (Crustacea: Caridea: Pandalidae) rediscovered off western Mexico, with the proposal of a new genus. Zootaxa, 4565: 049–060. Due to typographic errors, Heteronika was misspelled in the caption of figures 1‒4 and 6 (Heterokina instead of Heteronika). The diagnosis of the proposed new genus and its etymology, however, do not leave any doubts as to the correct spelling of this new genus: Heteronika (combination of Hetero- from Heterocarpus, and -nika from Ple- sionika). According to Arts. 24.2.4, 32.2.1 and 32.5.1 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, these errors are hereby formally corrected and the genus name is Heteronika which is therefore formally selected as the valid name for this genus. 598 Accepted by J.
