The writing is choppy, confusing, and incomplete. I found sections that were near reprints of freely available Technet material. Overall, Sybex has been an awesome resource but recently missed the mark. Perhaps it says a lot that there are fewer choices than my NT days, it felt like they rushed to get the last few dollars from a once great franchise. I'm not sure I even would try the Mastering series now, although the author for that book is at least recognized from previous versions. I even tried to look past grammatical errors, and came back to this book after reading the Microsoft press version to see if it was intended to be 'advanced' - a word I would not associate with this text. Complete disappointment.
