Keynote This app allows you to create presentations $9.99 similar to PowerPoint. 8 Susan Massey, Ph.D. Western Illinois University BASIC IPAD OPERATIONS Organizing Apps To rearrange icons:  Tap and hold your finger on icon until the icons begin to wiggle  As they wiggle, tap and hold the icon you want to move. Once the icon enlarges, you can drag it to the desired spot and let go.  Press the Home button to stop the wiggles To create folders:  Tap and hold your finger on any icon until the icons begin to wiggle.  As they wiggle, tap and hold an icon you want to put in a folder. Once the icon enlarges, drag and hover the icon over another icon you’d like in the same folder. Let go to place the two in a folder.  Name the folder  Drag any other icons to place them in the folder.  Press the Home button to stop the wiggles Search Apps Swipe to the right to bring up the search box. Type in the name of the app (already downloaded on your iPad) you are searching for and then tap the app in the list to open it. History Swipe up to reveal recently opened apps. Clear history by tapping icon until it wiggles and then tap red circle on wiggling icons to delete as history (does not delete the app). Photos/Videos Go to Camera icon.  You may choose camera or video in bottom right corner.  Choose front facing or rear facing camera.  Tap circle with camera to take a picture. It goes to your Camera Roll in Photos. These photos can be organized into albums. Press + tab to create a new album. From Photos, tap “edit”, tap to select photos, then tap “add to” icon to add to an existing album or to a new album. Screenshots To take a screenshot of what you see on your iPad, press the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. The image will automatically go to your Camera Roll. The screenshot can then be edited. Open the photo and tap Edit on the upper right. You then may rotate, enhance, red-eye, or crop the photo.
