Eric Newman < Make your annual gift to MIT by June 30! 1 message Anne Street '69, SM '72 (President, MIT Alumni Association) < Tue, Jun 21, 2011 at 1:17 PM Reply-To: To: Eric Newman < Dear Eric, It has been my great honor to serve MIT as the 116th president of the Alumni Association during a year when we celebrated MIT's 150th anniversary. Before I officially step down on June 30, I'd like to ask for your attention one last time. MIT is an institution that inspires admiration and respect all over the world, and one that has great power to bring about positive change. The Institute relies on the support of all its alumni, you and me included, to continue its vital work. So far this year, 30,558 alumni, together with students, parents, and Institute friends, have given to MIT. The countdown to another Fund year-end has begun; we are working hard to reach our donor goal of 36,000 alumni and students by June 30. We are so close. As a past donor, I know you’re just as dedicated to MIT as I am. Can I count on you to renew your support this year? You can make your gift easily and securely online or by calling us at Donations received by June 30 will count in this year’s Fund total. Your annual support is deeply appreciated. Best regards, Anne Street ’69, SM ’72 Alumni Association President PS: It’s possible our paths have crossed; if you’ve recently made your gift by mail or Web, thank you! Bailey '72 (Chair, MIT Annual Fund Board) < Fri, Jun 24, 2011 at 11:41 AM Reply-To: To: Eric Newman < Dear Eric, MIT’s legacy of 150 years of innovation, research, and service is embodied by its alumni each and every day. Together, we help improve the world with contributions to energy, the environment, medical research, and the infrastructure that allows our society to function. Help continue MIT’s noble mission by enabling future students to receive the same benefits we did. Please take a moment today to make your gift online or by calling us at Every gift matters. Give to the part of MIT that matters most to you, or to what will help MIT most. All gifts received by June 30 will count in fiscal year 2011. Thank you for your support. Douglas G. Bailey ’72 Chair, MIT Annual Fund Board PS: Not sure what MIT programs need your help? Consider a gift to one of these priorities: MIT’s most pressing need Unrestricted gifts give MIT’s leadership the flexibility to respond to the Institute’s most pressing needs. Campaign for Students priorities Scholarship support ensures that no student with the intelligence and drive to be offered admission to MIT will be turned away for financial reasons. Graduate fellowship support financially enables the top graduate students to attend MIT, supplements shrinking government research funding, and offsets the rising cost of research assistantships. Undergraduate research and education program support affords students the innovative, global, and hands-on learning experiences they will need to lead and serve society. Student life program support fosters leadership development, enhances the campus community, and enables students to explore their talents beyond the classroom or lab. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1?ik=504c5c6882&view=pt&search=all&permthid=thread-f%3A1372512669854105997&simpl=msg-f%3A13725126698… 1/2 1/21/2019 Gmail - MIT needs your support by June 30!
