He obtained a Bachelor of Science from Boston University and received his Associate MasterTeacher Achievement in 1980. He is an incredibly caring man, whether he is teaching at school, or at home with his family. Mr. Cavallaro has also managed to incorporate his entire family into his life at Masconomet. His wife, Elysa, worked as a substitute teacher for many years. His son, Luke, a former Masco graduate, worked alongside his father and currently helps with the Girls' Indoor Track Team. Mr. Cavallaro arrives at school everyday with a smile on his face and a spring in his step. His optimistic attitude and enthusiasmcauses students to look forward tohis class everyday Over the years he has taught many different levels of Spanish and has devoted much of his time as the advisor of the Spanish Club. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Cavallaro is a coach for the Girls' Indoor Track Team, which has won several Cape Ann League Championships. Every Friday, Mr. Cavallaro shows his commitment to his team by purchasing doughnuts and selling them to his students. All of the benefits from the sale help to buy new equipment for the team. These acts of kindness prove that Mr. Cavallaro is indeed worthy of the Best Coach award, which he won in 2002. In his spare time, Mr. Cavallaro works at Ingaldsby Farm, and his crops have won numerous awards at the Topsfield Fair. Mr. Cavallaro's passions for life, family, farming and above all, teaching, make him a great friend and a great teacher. The students and faculty of Masconomet are privileged to have him as a part of our school. Thank you, Mr. Cavallaro, for everything you have brought to our school over the years.
