The Council provides assistance to its member communities in planning for economic development, demographics, geographic information systems, transportation, affordable housing, groundwater protection and open space. The community profiles are updated on a regular basis through funding from the Federal Transit Administration and local assessments on the member cities and towns of MAPC. The responsibility for the information and opinions contained in this report rests solely with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council.
