Terror Walker
―We won. But dear God at what cost! Our
late commander Crowford brought six
platoons of militia and troopers to reinforce
the line, and we held for 3 days, under shells,
shrapnel and fire. But we held. Yet I am the
only one left of all the militiamen under his
command.

On the third day our doom came. An
armored four legged monstrosity towering
over five meters high, with two six-barreled
guns mounted to each side, and driven by a
godless demon, for only someone with no
soul could unleash such a thing upon fellow
human beings.. It emerged from the woods in
front of our positions, a fair distance away.
Slowly ambling forward, it stopped well out
of our range and opened fire. The sound of those barrels spewing lead will never leave my
head. Even our elite destroyer could not stand long against it. When they saw the crews bail
out and get cut down running, some of the men turned and fled in panic. Those of us that
remained prepared grenades, and braced ourselves for the charge.

The sergeant blew the whistle, and we ran towards it. The bullets cut us down like grass. It
blew off my leg, and I dragged myself behind the burning wreckage of a Savar to see only
half a platoon reach its base and start to lob grenades. I was sure they were all going to die. As
it started moving away to reposition, shells started hitting it... Were it not for our artillery,
every single one of us would have perished from that terror walker.‖

Devastator Tank
The new armor plating is functioning as
predicted, and the hull integrity has
increased by 200 to 400% in comparison
to standard armored vehicles of our
current tank corps. However, the weight
of the new hull construction and armor
has limited the speed of the vehicle,
forcing us to rethink the role we have
envisaged for it. Its armor allows it to
endure multiple hits from high
penetration rounds and enables it to
reach close range with any current
armored opponent.

We have therefore equipped the vehicle with two short-barreled 240mm cannons, mounted in
parallel on a single turret, and firing high explosive rounds. Although admittedly shorter in

range, this weapon system is without equal per damage potential. With unrivaled armor and
firepower, this will be our new main tank.
Its christening is to be done next week by Kronprinz Alexander, but the junior mechanics who
observed the weapons testing have already named it ‗Devastator‘.

weeks! The basic ARH-101 Assault Vehicle, known to you as the Assault Archos. You will
clean it, love it, sleep in it, and get to know it INTIMATELY. In two weeks, you and another
12 lucky maggots that lost their Savars by some IDIOCY will be the advanced guard of our
forces. This bucket normally has room for a driver and a shooter, but for your special comfort,
a spotter will be added, since we are low on scouts.
To survive in the battlefield, you will use your main advantages: speed, speed and - speed.
Your ‗armor‘ may protect you from small arms fire for about 2 minutes, so reverse and
relocate if you see ANYTHING with explosive ordnance. The protection does not apply to the
spotter, as his head is out of the vehicle. That will be your job, private Bottom, thank you for
volunteering!
You will run fine on any terrain that isn‘t made of land mines, so use that to your advantage.
If you survive with your iron girlfriend intact, we will consider adding the optional grenade
launcher already fitted to the advanced 106 version. IF being the operative word here….

"Fellow marauders, today I, your Captain, sentence these
offenders for gross violations of marauder code of honor, in
front of you all. Let me stop here a second. Some may say
we marauders don‘t have such a thing. Most of the time, that
might even ring true. The deeds these three have committed
however, are some of the lowliest actions known to living
creatures.

Raskin, rape of prisoner. Could perhaps be excused were it a
fine lass, but him being dead and a kid makes it a bit too
much. Lewella, mutilation of civilians. Knowing your past, dear lady, I would even overlook
it, were it not for the castration of a priest. After nailing him to the altar. And last but not
least, Deago. After that number you pulled with the orphanage, no gunner of mine wants you
as a spotter. An occasional shell misdirected, fine. But a 305mm shelling strike onto an
orphanage ‗just for kicks‘ is something beyond my comprehension.

However, as no man goes unused under my command, I‗ve decided to give you a new
position. Since our next target is the heavily fortified Kathosian encampment, and I don‘t
have a siege behemoth, you will drive our little surprises. Those two trucks are loaded to
capacity with TNT and various pointy objects that will vaporize anything near them. They are
relatively fast, with new engines, and still pretty maneuverable. Whatever you can throw a
rock at from the driver seat is within range, and your job is to clear us a path inside that fort.
They will blow fast if shot by anything, the trigger next to the wheel is on a ten second timer,
and there‘s a passage to the rear of the truck between TNT.

Now Raskin, Lewella, here is my offer. I don‘t care much if you survive or not, but IF you do,
you are clear, and I‘ll even give you a post somewhere out of my sight. Deago, on the other
hand, you feel free to blow yourself up ‗just for kicks‘, because I‘m putting Lt. Emilia on your
tail, and she will gladly put a 20mm slug in your groin if you bail out. And she doesn‘t miss.

General Alfonse: Its a battle, there are explosions everywhere.

Savar Tank
―Kids, one thing me learnt me in all me years as a mechanick, ‗s that the only way to stop a
Savar is to blow the fucker up!! Hahahaha! They brought ‗em back to me ingin bay all the
time, in all kinds of god-awful messed-up shapes, missin‘ parts, chok‘d up vents, engine
faults, full of ‗oles, and you can fix ‗em in no time, and they roll right back out again, fast and
hard. The
bulits just
make
tingling
sounds on
‗em.

You see,
when them
Kathosian
ingineers
made the
thingie,
theys wanted it to run in the ugliest condishins possible, that the thickist idjit can drive it, and
fire away ‗till it falls apart. And them Kathosians knew their tanks. This ‗ere cannon is simple,
but packs a punch. You can get a bigger cannon, or a further shootin‘ one, sure, but ya ain‘t
gonna find a cheaper one, and that counts for a lot with the captins.

Now I‘ve had trouble fixin‘ all kinds of stuff, but never a Savar. So seein‘ as I know how easy
it is, I‘ll leave these 5 beauties for you to practice on. These two need a new front armor plate,
it gets shredded by mortar fire, this one gotta get a new right track, shells blew it right off, and
those two got hit by the same tank destroyer, the shell went through them both at once,
imagine that, hah? They got them back somehow, and they needs them on in the mornin‘ for a
raid or sum such. You get on with it, them tools are over there, you know where the storage is,
there‘s the manual, and since you won‘ be needin‘ me help, I‘ll be headin‘ to the drink…
ahem, armory. An‘ don‘t ya mess up me tools, or there‘ll be hell to pay…‖

We interrupt your afternoon of prayers to bring you the following message:

―Having received word from our brothers and sisters at the front lines that the morale of our
brave and loyal warriors is somewhat diminished due to a prolonged campaign, the Inquisitor
General has conducted a series of inquiries, and reached the conclusion that this is, indeed,
true. The great efforts undertaken in fighting the godless enemy have surely left a tremendous
toll on the souls of our brave warriors, as one of the inquired has most unfortunately passed
away during the questioning.
However, a solution to our plight is at hand! In a coordinated effort, the Office of Inquisitor
General and Radio Fahrong will be providing special vehicles to each battalion, equipped to

continuously transmit the Good Word of our priests, with brief
alternations to patriotic tunes selected by your favorite composers
and leaders. Observations of effects of these vehicles on combat
effectiveness have confirmed that the fervor of our warriors rises
significantly in their presence, reaching raging proportions.

Each vehicle will also be adorned with colorful masks, to further
raise the spirits of its surrounding troops at all times. As the vehicle
will not be combat oriented, it will be the duty and honor of the
soldiers of Fahrong to protect it, as the lifeblood of their souls will continuously flow from its
holy loudspeakers, raising their spirits to heavenly heights.
It would be most distressing should the enemy damage these carriers of good spirit, as the
battalion it was entrusted to would lose not only its moral support, but also some of its
officers, due to inquiries which would inevitably have to be conducted. May the Holy Word
flow over you eternally.‖

Elite Destroyer
"To whom it may concern in the headquarters!
The new DST-1337 machines you have sent us recently are behaving
admirably! Although not many were sent, those that did make it to our
battalion are in top condition, and were put to combat use immediately
with my best crews assigned to them. Being the elite of the corps, their
experience has not only added to the efficiency of the vehicles, but
flushed out some inadequacies of design, which I hope could be perfected in the future.

On the positive side, the greatly improved front armor plating has given us a much needed
upgrade over even the most advanced Savar tanks in our armory (there is only so much
improvements you can make). The all around armor quality is still somewhat lacking in
resistance versus explosive ordnance, but its amount has managed to compensate for that so
far. The twin 185mm cannons provide the necessary firepower more than adequately, and no
enemy armored vehicle has been able to withstand concentrated crossfire from two of our new
elite destroyers. As the improved sighting system has enabled us to extend our field of vision
to the limits of our significant firing range, some new tactical maneuvers became available,
since the crews can spot targets themselves, without scouting support.

The biggest problem encountered by the crew is that a highly mobile enemy causes problems
due to faults in the internal design of the vehicle. More precisely, in order for the driver to
operate the vehicle, the loader of the weapon cannot access the cannon, thereby enabling only
one shot from a previously loaded barrel when on the move.

This effectively halves the damage output of the tank on the move, as a stationary machine
can fire twice as fast. Another observation I have received from my loyal crewmen regards
the diversification of munitions. An allotment of high explosive shells would significantly
increase the potential of this tank versus lightly armored opponents. We hope these issues can
be solved in the future, as an already excellent weapon would thus be perfect.

Bethes Cannon
―The winter offensive of the Confederacy of Nallum through the forests of mountainous
Ardenya, under the command of general Huderian, opened with a pincer movement that
trapped most of the 4th Rahmosian Armored Corps stationed in reserve. The Rahmosians
were surprised by the predominantly walker army of the Confederacy, that managed to
traverse with ease the extremely rough terrain previously thought impassable for armored
vehicles. Large amounts of material were captured, and losses in personnel prompted a swift
demotion of general Maginole, previously in charge for the Eastern Section of forces.

The advancing Confederates, composed mainly of heavy infantry and walker support, now
faced a predominantly infantry army quickly patched together by the new commander,
Colonel Erwin R. von Clausewitz. Looking to seize the advantage of terrain for himself, and
thus create an unexpected element of surprise, the young Colonel detached a significant
contingent of basic B-373 Bethes mobile cannons from the central forces, and assigned them
to cover the path of the incoming Confederates.

The Ardenya Rain, as the battle was to become known in the Academy textbooks,
demonstrated the full genius of the young commander. He instructed his infantry to use
guerilla tactics and relocate, thus avoiding the full brunt of the terror walkers, as the
militiamen dubbed them early on. At the same time, he personally commanded the artillery,
crushing the highly visible walkers one by one with a concentrated barrage of multiple
cannons.

Using perfectly the ability of the Bethes to simultaneously move and open fire, the Rahmosian
commander fought a seemingly retreating battle, until the enemy was sufficiently stretched in
unfamiliar terrain. Where position allowed it, the Bethes remained stationary, thus doubling
their rate of fire and damage output. The meager armored column held in protection of the
artillery collapsed in the final hours of the battle, only to allow the artillery time to retreat to
new positions, and demolish the remaining walkers. After that, the mountain militia took over
and chased any remaining infantry back through the woods.‖
