On tanwary 8, 2019, a sole case of Leplonellosis was detected in resident who lived atthe Mantena Veterans’ Home, At the time ofthe diagnosls, immediately put protocols inte place eut of an abundance of caution, Ineluding instaling fiters an all showerheads, convicting additional wellness checks on residents, ‘conducting thecnal eradieation of our water, and increased flushing of the water system. Engineers also conducted addtional testing ofthe water ta determine whether there was “false postive” or whether ‘other locations in the faciity hac been imgacted ‘On January 22, 2019, the Manteno Veterans’ Home received our fest preliminary water sample test ‘sults, These reuls showed low levels of Leginnellois at three faaures:a Faucet, a ink, aad a shower, ‘These three water fitures were immediately taken out of sevice. To eanfirm these test results, the {acity will undergo additional testing on Wednesday, lanuary 22,2019.
