Since volume themes will be chosen and developed in the light of information avail able to the Editorial Board regarding research in progress, potential contribu tors from all areas in the history of anthropology are encouraged to commu nicate with the editor concerning their ongoing work. Manuscripts submitted for consideration to HOA should be typed ~wenty­ six lines to a page with 1114-inch margins, with all material double-spaced, and documentation in the anthropological style. For exemplification of stylistic details, consult the published volumes; for guidance on any problematic is sues, write to the editor.
