Book 3 in the Lucy gives it up... series
The holiday is now a distant memory. Broke and unemployed, Lucy thought that things couldn't get any worse. When she is thrown out of her flat, she realises she was wrong. Homeless, she has to persuade her mum to allow her to move back in until she can find somewhere else to live. Much to Lucy's surprise, her mum welcomes her home. Lucy soon realises that her mum's personality change owes much to the new man in her mum's life. When she accidentally walks in on them having sex - she can see why.
Lucy manages to find work in the bar at a local hotel. Trade is slow and the evenings drag until a face from her past appears. Mr Drake, Lucy's Maths teacher from her senior school, calls in for a quick drink. She used to fancy him when she was at school - she still does - and now she can do something about it!
